My name is Charlotte and I really, really love my city. The first thing you should do when you plan your visit is to decide how you are going to get here. There are many ways to travel to this city. It also depends from wich country you come. A little surfing on the internet and you'll find over a hundred possibilities Of course you need a place to stay. There are enough possibilities, besides hotels. The city is loaded with places to sleep for tourists. you'll be surprised about the alternatives for a normal hotel. For instance would't it be fun to sleep on a boat in one of the picturesque canals. If you want to understand something about what our capitol looks like nowadays, you must know some facts about the fascinating history of this city. When you go to the Rijksmuseum and the Amsterdam Historical museum, you'll see what it really looked like a couple of 100 years ago. In those days painters like Rembrandt made beautiful paintings about everyday life in Amsterdam in the golden age. It's also nice to know a bit more about Holland.The rest of the country has also a big amount of great spots to visit. It's a small country, so you can be everywhere in less than two hours. And last but not least: when you've been walking through the city all day, you really will enjoy your evening in the nightlife of Mokum(that's a Dutch nickname for our city).
