The Bimhuis has been a much loved jazz venue in Amsterdam for more than 25 years. The new Bimhuis provides a perspective on Dutch and international music with more than 200 concerts annually, in which a variety of jazz and improvised live music can be enjoyed – as well as variations such as funk, poetry and spoken word. Its location, adjoins the Muziekgebouw aan het IJ.

Maloe Melo is the home of the Blues. Maloe Melo, on the Lijnbaansgracht, has live music every night of the week. Although it’s called a Blues Café, other music genres like Rock’n’Roll, Rockabilly, Soul, Funk and Punk also feature on the bill quite regularly. With free entrance most nights and a bar that stays open until the early hours, it’s a must for all music lovers. You can find it in the Leidsepleinarea.
